Scotland's weather can be variable, but here's what you can generally expect...
April: Spring is in full swing in April. Average temperatures range from 5°C to 13°C (41°F to 55°F). You can expect a mix of sunny spells and light showers. Spring flowers are in bloom, making for beautiful landscapes.
October: October brings autumn colors to Scotland. Average temperatures range from 8°C to 14°C (46°F to 57°F). You'll likely experience a mix of crisp, clear days and some rainy periods. The scenery is often spectacular with fall foliage.
For both months, be prepared for the possibility of wind and occasional rain. The weather can vary significantly depending on your location, especially between lowlands and highlands. Despite the possibility of rain, both April and October can be wonderful times to visit Scotland, offering fewer crowds and beautiful seasonal scenery.
